Formed around a solo practitioner with a decade and a half
of large firm experience at the partner level, "Lutherlaw" focuses
on the representation and counseling of businesses and executives in
general business matters and in labor and employment law, including
workers' compensation. On the employment front, Mr. Luther has
represented clients before virtually every agency regulating employment,
including the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal
Employment Opportunity Commission, Cal-OSHA, OSHA, MSHA, the Division of
Labor Standards Enforcement (Labor Commissioner), the Unemployment
Insurance Appeals Board, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and the
NLRB, as well as before a broad assortment of courts, mediators and
arbitrators. In general law, he has counseled businesses and executives--
and litigated cases-- in most legal areas of importance to small and
medium sized businesses. More information is available here.
Mr. Luther is also the employment law columnist for the San
Anselmo Chamber of Commerce's Network Success. The Chamber columns
are regularly published as part of the Marin Independent Journal.
As this website expands over the next several months, we hope to post
most of his current and past columns here. For starters, here are the
articles on California's rules on lunch and rest
breaks and payment of wages on termination.
We are located at 21 Oak Avenue, San Anselmo, California
94960. Our phone number is 415-456-6197, and the fax is available on
request. Email should be sent to jluther@lutherlaw.com
